Education

  • John Hersey High School graduate (Arlington Heights, Illinois)
  • Illinois Wesleyan University – Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (2003)

Training and Performance Highlights

  • While at Hersey High School, performed with the choirs (4 years) and Orchesis (3 years).
  • At Illinois Wesleyan University, performed scenes from Menotti’s The Consul, as well as Hansel and Gretel and Die Fledermaus. She was also in IWU Theater’s production of 42nd Street and a member of the IWU Collegiate Choir her senior year.
  • Performed in 15 unique shows with Harmony Productions, a 4-member ensemble that does music reviews.

Teaching Experience

  • Choreographer for Setting the Stage, a children’s theater group in Palatine, since the age of fourteen
  • Vocal director for Setting the Stage since 2003
  • Long-term substitute teacher
  • Choral director for Thomas Middle School in Arlington Heights for 2 years
  • Choreographer for two musicals at Thomas Middle School
  • Private voice teacher since 2003, from her home, at Elk Grove High School, and now at John
  • Hersey High School (since 2006)
  • Teacher at CGPAC since 2008

Personal

Cessie began performing at a young age, with dance classes from age 3 and theatrical productions at age 5. Her main passion was singing, and she performed with choirs starting in the third grade. Since attaining her degree in vocal performance in 2003, she has taught more than 75 students. Cessie enjoys teaching and loves sharing her passion for music and theater.

Monday: 9:30-11:00 am, 4:00-8:30 pm
Tuesday: 1:00-2:30 pm, 4:00-8:30 pm
Wednesday/Thursday: 9:30-11:00 am, 4:15-8:30 pm
Friday: 4:00-6:30 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am-1:00 pm
Sunday: 6:30-8:00 pm

 Summer Hours Vary (Generally closed Fri/Sa/Sun, Please Call for M-Th hours)
