

DMW Dance Convention

Attending a dance convention is a great way for dancers to broaden their knowledge, learn new choreography and have fun! Dancers will have 6 classes during the day from four different faculty members. This is a wonderful experience for serious dancers to have
We will be attending the Dance Masters of Wisconsin (DMW) winter convention on Sun., Feb. 15th. The cost of the convention is $125. This price also includes a lunch for the student. You may also want to bring money to buy a souvenir t-shirt or other items. Split the pot money from our recitals will be used to help pay the tuition for dancers in levels 4, 5, or 6 Ballet (or Teen Ballet 2 or 3) who are taking 3 or more disciplines of dance. The amount of money for each dancer will depend on the number of students attending.

How to Apply:
To apply, please fill out our Google Form application which is due January 22nd!
You do NOT need to fill out the actual DMW application,
as we will submit the full studio application from our end.
Cost Breakdown
The cost of the convention is $125. This price also includes a lunch for the student.

Any parents/guardians who want to attend as an observer can purchase an Observer Badge for $30. This allows you to sit in the rooms and watch the classes! You're also able to purchase a lunch for $25, or bring your own.
Please make sure to include your choices in the dancer's application!​​​
Scholarships
CGPAC Scholarships
​Split the pot money from our recitals will be used to help pay the tuition for dancers in levels 4, 5, or 6 Ballet (or Teen Ballet 2 or 3) who are taking 3 or more disciplines of dance. The amount of money for each dancer will depend on the number of students attending. If you're interested in this, please select that option on your application, and we will reach out with the scholarship amount.
DMW Scholarships
Dance Masters of Wisconsin offers scholarships for dancers age 13 and up. In your CGPAC application, please indicate if you would like to apply for the DMW scholarship, and we will email you their scholarship application to fill out.
The DMW judges observe classes on the day to select the scholarship recipients.

Adult Dance Fit - Winter
Thursday nights between January 29 - February 26
8:00-8:45 pm
This class will be a fitness class with a hip hop/jazz/poms style (intermediate level) dance combo taught each week. PLUS we will work on the same combo for a few weeks, meaning you can practice at home, and continue learning choreography the following week! This is a good workout with a dance level higher than most fitness classes for adults who are still dancers at heart.

Miss Kelsey will teach this 5-week workshop. You can sign up for all 5 classes ($80), or individual drop-in days ($18/class)!

Current students - invite a friend to come with you to class during Bring a Friend week!

HOW TO SIGN UP:
1. Make a Dance Studio Pro account HERE.
2. Click on "Register for Classes", then select "Camps & Workshops". From there, add yourself to the Bring a Friend class. (Free of charge!)
Then, just show up to class with your friend! Please check in at the front desk when you arrive, pick up you Class Pass, and we will make sure you are set for class.

Here is information on our Dress Code. If you can follow it for class, great! If you don't own these materials, then just wear fitted black/dark clothing to class.
Sunday 1/18 - Saturday 1/24
Current students - if you want to try a class that you're not currently taking but are eligible for, now's the time to try it!
Come try Swing Choir, Jazz, Tap, you name it. If you have questions about placement, please reach out to Miss Kelsey or Miss Amy!

2. Click on "Register for Classes", then select "Camps & Workshops".From there, add yourself to the Bring a Friend/Try It class. (Free of charge!)

How do I register for these camps?
1. Sign in to your DSP account (or make an account if you are new!).
2. Select "Register for Classes" and scroll to find the camps you want to select.
Make sure you are selecting for the correct student if you have multiple students in your account.
3. Complete registration!

*Remember that all new families pay a one-time $25 registration fee. This will be applied to your account after your registration has been processed.
